This is a good area to walk around if you don’t have a lot of time, but it feels more like a relaxing suburban stroll than an epic Colorado mountain hiking adventure.
Park at the Swallow Trail lot and take the Coyote Song trail all the way until you reach another parking lot. Make a u-turn and backtrack a bit, but then make a left and then a right onto the Swallow trail and take that back to your car. Toward the end, you’ll pass some beautiful red rock formations and a small reservoir. You will see a bench but DO NOT sit on it as the bench is closed (according to the sign). Haha!
